Marketing and Sales
Sherry Christofilis is a native Texan, was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She started her career in the insurance business with her mother’s Independent Insurance Agency back in 1985. Then in 1989 went to work for a large Insurance Brokerage firm, Elton George & Co., where she was a Marketing Representative & Public Relations for a territory that took her all over Texas. When her husband Damon was transferred to San Antonio to help start up a Perry Homes division, one of the agencies that was her client, Hotchkiss Insurance Agency, knew her working ethics and wanted to partner up with her to start an Insurance Agency in San Antonio. The agency specialized in homebuilders, suppliers & subcontractors. She insured almost all of the builders in San Antonio, Boerne, New Braunfels, Kerrville & Fredericksburg area. She opened up offices in all of those cities. Her business was very successful, but it took her away from her family because of all of the travel to all the cities and the corporate office in Houston. In 2007 Sherry decided it was time to sell her partnership and to be a Mom and a Wife. She and Damon have been using their personal residence as Model Home in Cordillera Ranch since 2002. A lot of the clients and neighbors loved what Sherry had done with her home that they wanted her to help with decorating their homes. A lot of the Cordillera residents loved their home and location, but were desirous of updating different facets of the home to make them more current. She found that many people didn’t know who to go to for decorating ideas in Cordillera Ranch so she created a company that worked with other builders and homeowners in the Boerne area. She used access to all of the best subcontractors and suppliers in the Hill Country area that she and her husband have built with over the years.
Anne graduated from Texas A&M University in 1986 with a BBA in Accounting. She attained her CPA license in 1988. She has designed 10 award-winning GSABA Parade of Homes entries. Studio Domaine continues to be blessed along with her venture into retail with Joli Boutique. Both of her businesses will be relocating to Boerne later this year. “An interior designer should make the difference in the building process. It happens when the designer can see the finished product through the clients’ eyes, not her own. Today, that is exactly what Damon and I do. Our goal is to work together with Damon’s superintendent, Jason Hurt, to build the vision of the client”. Barb and her Studio Domaine staff, including Coco, look forward to many more productive years working alongside great clients. Barb works exclusively with Christofilis Custom Homes in Cordillera Ranch new construction. She also enjoys many custom projects that come her way throughout the San Antonio area. Studio Domaine and Joli Boutique look forward to “hanging their hat” on Main Street in Boerne!
